Lelufretti tietty!

A toy ferret, of course! 

Mä niin rakastan lelufrettejä.

I just love toy ferrets. 

Aina kun mä meille muuttaa uusi lelufretti, niin mä oon ekat päivät tukena.

Whenever a new toy ferret moves in with us, I stay by its side for the first few days. 

Ollaan vaan ihan kahden.

We are just the two of us. 

Eikä muut eres uskalla tulla meidän väliin.

And the others don’t even dare come between us. 

Nyt taas muistat mikä on mun lempilelu!

Now you remember what my favorite toy is! 

 

Epun prinsessapeti

Eppu's princess bed

 

Palvelija näki mut mun prinsessa pedissä perjantaina.

Servant saw me in my princess bed on Friday.

Se otti vaan yhden paparazzi kuvan musta ja kulki monta kertaa ohitte roska silmässä.

She only took one paparazzi photo and walked past me several times with something in her eye. 

Nyt se kyttää mua kameran kanssa...

Now she’s spying on me with the camera… 

Ny se hävisi jonnekin.

Now she disappeared somewhere. 

Eiku, se seisooki tuossa vieressä.

Oh wait, she’s standing right there next to me. 

No joo, mä olin tässä ennen perjantaita edellisen kerran su 26.1.2025

Well yes, the last time I was here before Friday was on Sunday 26 January 2025. 

Ja tietenkään tässä ei oo ollu muut, ku tää on mun prinsessapeti.

And of course no one else has been here. This is my princess bed.

Totu ny vaan taas ajatukseen, että mä oon tässä.

You’ll just have to get used to the idea again that I’m here.

Snow is melting

 

Lumi sulaa ihan loristen.

The snow is melting with a steady drip-drip. 

Eppu, sulaako siellä myös?

Eppu, is it melting over there too? 

Joo ja täällä on tosi märkää. Mä tuun sinne.

Yeah, and it’s really wet here. I’m coming over. 

Eppu, tuskin täällä on yhtään sen kuivempaa.

Eppu, I doubt it’s any drier here. 

Ainaski täällä on isompi katto.

At least the roof is bigger here. 

Saadaankohan me pian kalusteet terassille?

Do you think we’ll get the terrace furniture back soon? 

Tuskin niin kauaa kuin lunta on.

Not as long as there’s still snow. 

Ja sitä on vielä kauas.

And there’s still a long way to go. 

 

Polkypyöräilyä

Tää on kyllä aika epäilyttävää.

This is quite suspicious. 

Mut olisi kiva oppia pyöräilemään.

But it would be nice to learn how to cycle. 

Mut miksi noi etutassujutut on noin kaukana?

But why are those front-paw things so far away? 

Ja takatassujutut noin alhaalla?

And the back-paw things so low? 

Onnistuisiko siirto lähemmäksi ajatuksen voimalla?

ould it work if I moved them closer with the power of thought? 

Ei tapahdu mitään.

Nothing’s happening. 

Ihan tyhmä juttu...

This is such a stupid thing…

En mä taidakaan haluta oppia pyöräilemään.

I guess I don’t want to learn how to cycle after all.

Ei oo vieläkää lumi kadonnu.

The snow still hasn’t disappeared. 

Mut aurinko lämmittää ihanasti.

But the sun feels lovely and warm. 

Jep, niin lämmittää.

Yeah, it does. 

Täällä on vaikka kuinka paljon jalanjälkiä.

There are so many footprints here. 

Jep, pupu ja orava ainakin menny siitä.

Yep, at least a bunny and a squirrel passed by. 

Nuo isot on taatusti palvelijan.

Those big ones are definitely servant’s. 

Se meni varmaan hakemaan meille herkkuja.

She probably went to get us goodies. 

Hanoi, koitas ny rauhottua.

Hanoi, try to calm down. 

 

Lumimyrsky

Snowstorm

 

Viime yönä oli kauhia lumimyrsky.

There was quite a snowstorm last night. 

Meidän terassi on ihan kokonaan lumessa.

Our terrace is completely covered in snow. 

Tästähän irtoaa kivasti lumipaakkuja.

These little snow clumps come off nicely. 

Melkein sain kiinni.

I almost caught one. 

Kato Rudi! Mun tassut ihan uppoaa lumeen.

Look, Rudi! My paws sink right into the snow. 

Oho, onpa ylhäälläkin paljon lunta.

Whoa, there’s a lot of snow up there too. 

Mä meen sulattelemaan mun tassuja.

I’m going to go warm up my paws. 

Hanoi, mennään ihan sisälle asti sulattelemaan.

Hanoi, let’s go all the way inside to warm up.
